2. User Eligibility & Account Creation

Our services are designed for individuals who are legally single and seeking to make genuine connections. By creating an account, you represent that you are attending our events with the intention of creating meaningful connections and will be respectful of our community's purpose.

You agree to provide truthful and accurate information in your profile. Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate information is a violation of these Terms and may result in the immediate termination of your account without a refund. You are responsible for safeguarding your account login details and are responsible for all activities that occur under your account including going to and/or from our events or any activities that we might offer.

3. Commercial Terms, Event Tickets, and Matching Process

​

When purchasing a ticket to a Parallel Paths event, you agree that you are entering into a legally binding contract. The prices for our event tickets are listed on the website for registered users who have been invited to the event. 

Note that tickets are non-transferable (this includes selling, exchanging, gifting, donating or reassigning the ticket by any means) and you may be asked for your ID before entering the event venue.

Our invitation and matching process is as follows:

• Invitations: We send out personal event invitations to members depending on the type of the event and the information provided in their registration form. An invitation does not guarantee a spot; a spot is only confirmed upon the successful purchase of a ticket.

• Ticket Purchase Deadline: The deadlines will be stated in the invitation for each event.

• Match Guarantee Disclaimer: While our signature events are designed to introduce you to one highly compatible connection, based on information provided by members in the registration form, we cannot guarantee that your designated match will purchase a ticket or attend the event. We cannot guarantee either a specific outcome and we do not promise or guarantee that an introduction will lead to a date, a mutual interest, a romantic partner, or any type of relationship. Please see our Refund Policy for details on how we handle these situations.

5. Code of Conduct

​

Parallel Paths is dedicated to creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all members and event attendees. By creating an account and attending our events, you agree to:

• Treat all other members, attendees, and staff with respect, kindness, and courtesy.

• Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, aggression, or unsafe behavior.

• Respect the privacy and boundaries of others.

• Consume alcohol responsibly.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to deny entry, remove from an event, and/or permanently terminate the account of any individual who violates this Code of Conduct or these Terms, without a refund.

6. Ownership of Intellectual Property

 

The Service and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, but not limited to, software, images, text, graphics, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music, and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, including our proprietary concepts "Connection Dynamics™(1)" and "Connection Blueprint™(2)", are the exclusive property of Parallel Paths. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights.

 

7. Right to Suspend or Cancel User Account

 

We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service and your member account without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations.

 

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• No Guarantee of Connection: While our process is designed to create opportunities for genuine connection, we do not promise or guarantee that there will be any matches, that you will find a romantic partner, a long-term relationship, or that any introduction we facilitate will result in a mutual connection.

• Personal Responsibility: You are the sole responsible for your interactions with other members and event attendees. While we strive to create a safe environment, we do not conduct criminal or any other background checks on our users. You agree to use caution in all interactions and attend events at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Parallel Paths be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to the use of the service. We are not responsible in case the website does not work properly.

 

9. Right to Change and Modify Terms

 

We reserve the right to modify these terms at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review this page periodically. Your continued use of this Website or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

 

10. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

 

These Terms, the rights and remedies provided hereunder, and any and all claims and disputes related hereto and/or to the services, shall be governed by, construed under, and enforced in all respects solely and exclusively in accordance with the internal substantive laws of the country where the event takes place.

Any and all such claims and disputes shall be brought in, and you hereby consent to them being decided exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction located in the capital of the country where the event takes place.
